Lauman, Milton "Saum", 97, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, died peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2017. Preceded in death by his wife of nearly 65 years, Helen Lauman (nee Jovanovic), he leaves behind his three children, Susan (Rick) Constance, Richard (Rose) Lauman and Raymond (Julie) Lauman, and his two grandchildren Nick Lauman and Emily (John) Kresyman. Born to parents Helen and Henry Lauman, Milton was the youngest of his brothers, Hank and Clarence (Pete). Dear uncle, cousin and friend. Married in 1946, he resided with his wife in the same south St. Louis County home for 60 years and was most recently a resident at Bethesda Terrace Independent Living Community. Milton was a lithographer for Western Publishing and a proud member of the Graphic Communications Conference International Brotherhood of Teamsters. After he retired, he spent 10 more years at Downtown's Mercantile Bank in the Coin Department. He was a sergeant with the 340th Army Engineers during World War II, a member of St. Martin of Tours Men's Club and the HIPPS Soccer Club. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30th, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church at Telegraph and Ripa, followed by mass at 12:00 Noon and burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
