Kathleen M. (Finnegan) Boyer
St. Louis – Kathleen M. (Finnegan) Boyer, loving wife of 61 years to Kenneth, died on Wednesday, September 30 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Born May 8, 1939 in St. Louis, MO, Kathy graduated from Sophie-Barat High School in 1956. She dedicated much of her life to raising her five children and spending time with her 13 grandchildren. Once her children were grown, she found a renewed passion for books and worked at the St. Louis County Library before retiring. Kathy loved nothing more than spending time surrounded by her family and friends. She enjoyed taking trips to Wisconsin to play bingo and loved to go to the casino. She loved painting, good food, books, movies and socializing whenever she could. Her wonderful smile, infectious laugh, and biting wit kept everyone around her in stitches. Kathy is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her children, Timothy (Fran) Boyer, Stephen Boyer, James (Mary) Boyer, Gary (Tammi) Boyer, and Lynn (Bill) Sloan; her grandchildren, Nicole, Genna, Andy, Michelle, Izzy (Justin), Danielle, Jonathan (Katie), Thomas, Michael, Kelly, Will, Anna, and Joey; and great-grandchildren, Theodore and (soon-to-be-born) Jack. She was also a beloved sister to late Joan (late Bud) Franklin, Tom (late Jackie) Finnegan, late Dave (late Barb) Finnegan, late Jim (late Diane) Finnegan, Joe (Lois) Finnegan, Lori (Joe) Kortkamp. She was also a cherished aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor.
Words cannot describe how greatly Kathy’s presence will be missed in the lives of her loved ones, but her legacy lives on through them.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
