Jurlean "Jerri" M. Wiatr

Jurlean “Jerri” M. Wiatr, nee Marval, 78, Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on the 26th day of May 2023. Daughter of the late Frank and the late Bernadine, nee Esser, Marval, wife of the late Phillip Wiatr, mother of Deborah (Cesar) Garcia, and sister of the late Francis “Frankie” Marval. She is also survived by many dear cousins and friends.

Jurlean was retired from the St. Louis County Police Department where she served for 31 years (1966-1998) as a records clerk. She was a devout member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church where she participated in Over 50 Club and the Women’s Guild. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, being outside, going out to eat with family and friends, keeping up with former coworkers, and in her younger days, traveling. Jerri loved animals, especially her beloved chihuahuas.

Memorials are appreciated in lieu of flowers to Backstoppers or Humane Society of Missouri.

Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 4-8 pm at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave. St, Louis, MO 63116. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 5, 2023, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 5020 Rhodes Ave. St. Louis, MO 63109. Interment in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
