Joe loved his family, his country, and the simple things in life. He loved spending time at the lake on his treasured Bayliner. His time on the water reflected his appreciation of nature and the outdoors.

A proud Navy veteran, Joe’s patriotism was evident in every aspect of his life. He served his country with honor and continued to embody those skills and values long after his service ended. He enjoyed repairing things and often taught others to do the same.

Joe and his mother shared a special bond, calling her weekly and talking for hours. His marriage to Linda, his angel, spanned 32 wonderful years. They built a life together with their daughter Mandy, filled with love, family and fun.

His twin granddaughters, who he affectionately called his miracles, were the light of his life. He loved them to the moon and back, and his presence in their lives will be deeply missed.

Joe was a family man through and through. His love, strength and wisdom were an inspiration to all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of heroic courage and determination.

In Joe’s honor, we will gather for a visitation at 11am on Wednesday, September 11 at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel; Memorial service will begin at 12pm followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
