Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection April 4, 2023, aged 96 years.

Beloved husband of the late Nadine L. Wilke (nee Strang).

Loving step-father of the late David E. Scott, father of Sarah Hansel-Perry, (David Perry), John M. Wilke (Deborah Wilke (nee Buettmann), and Arthur E. Wilke.

Loving grandfather of Nicholle Hansel-Middleman (Carl Middleman), Katherine Hansel, Stacey Greene (nee Wilke), Timothy Greene), Lindsey Randall (nee Wilke), (Charles Randall).

Loving great-grandfather to Maggie Middleman, Riley Greene, Charlotte and Caroline Randall.

Loving uncle, cousin, and godfather.

Following graduation from Cleveland High School, Jack enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. and served honorably during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, Jack began his career as a machinist at Griesedieck Brothers Brewery, Falstaff Brewery, G. Heileman Brewing, and lastly Anheuser-Busch Breweries.

Jack became a licensed pilot following his military service, he was an avid horseman, raising quarter horses for a number of years. He and Nadine enjoyed vacations mixing their love of horseback riding along the continental divide and whitewater rafting rivers in the Rocky Mountains. After retirement, Jack took to leading trail rides at Valley Mount Ranch and enjoyed outings with various horseback riding groups he and Nadine were affiliated with. His other hobbies included gardening, fly fishing, solving daily puzzles in the paper, and scheming to outwit his squirrel nemeses.

Visitation will be held on April 11, 2023 from 6-8 pm for the general public at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, located at 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, Mo. 63129

Funeral services will be April 12, 2023 from 10-11 am at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, located at 765 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO. 63125

Interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

A luncheon will be provided following Interment at Bartolino's South, 914 Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. 63123
