John Sullivan

SULLIVAN, JOHN CARROLL "JACK", age 85, Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Saturday February 1, 2014 following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Sullivan (nee Poelker) and his sister, Sr. Jean Marie Sullivan, a Sister of Mercy. He shared a special relationship with his cousins John & Betty Thiess and their family. Also survived by his in-laws Eugene, Elizabeth and Carol Poelker. He was uncle and great-uncle to the Kissel, Kaintz and Poelker families. Jack enjoyed his many years of work-life in the railroad business. He was an avid stamp collector, artist and golfer. His commitment as a Secular Franciscan called him to the service of others in his simple and joy-filled life. In lieu of flowers, Masses may be offered or donations to Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, 7601 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO 63119. SERVICES: VISITATION THURSDAY at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3135 Meramec Ave from 9:30am to 10:45am followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:00am. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
