John Mccoy

John was born April 30, 1943 in St.Louis MO to Thelbert & Thelma McCoy. He died on March 14, 2018 at the age of 74. He served in the Seven Fleet of the United States Navy for 4 years based out of San Diego, CA. He was joined in holy matrimony to Joyce Lemma May (his teenage sweetheart also of St.Louis) on March 18, 1967 until the time of her death on February 9, 2009. John joined the Ladue Fire Department in May 1967 and taught new recruits at the Fire Academy until he retired in May 1997. John enjoyed his family, fishing, sports, playing pool and his game shows. He earned his Black Belt in Chaun Fa's Combat Martial Arts in July of 2012 at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his father, Thelbert McCoy, mother Thelma McCoy, and sister Melba McCoy of Paris, TN. He is survived by his daughters Stacey Mills and Tammy McCoy of Imperial MO, one grandson Shaun Mills of Pevely MO, one brother Martin McCoy, & sister-in-law Barbara McCoy of Kirkwood MO. Nieces and nephews and many good friends. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He will be reunited with his true love and live eternally in Paradise. March 20, 2018
