Hennicke, Joan M., of Saint Louis, Missouri, was born October 13, 1958, in Moses, Washington to Eugene and Shirley (nee Zielinski) Preston and entered into rest Sunday, May 23, 2021 after a brief illness, surrounded by family.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by, her loving husband of 29 years, David L. Hennicke, two (2) daughters, Michelle (Rocky) Follmer and Kimberly Chamberlain, and three (3) grandchildren, Kalyn, Caleb and Mackenzie.
Joan was loved by everyone who knew her. She was an avid bowler, and when she was unable to continue bowling, she was the Secretary of her husband David’s team, Big Dogs at DuBowl Lanes. She loved to collect Cherished Teddies, Precious Moments, and Winnie The Pooh figurines and snow globes, as long as it included her absolute favorite, Eeyore. Her favorite thing to do was to visit The Saint Louis Zoo. She could spend hours there. Flamingos and Stingrays were her favorites, but she always made sure to see all of the animals.
Joan’s family meant everything to her, and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She certainly made sure they were spoiled.
Joan spent her days mostly relaxing on her chair with her very spoiled puppy, Tuxie, right by her side. When she did go out, she enjoyed going to dinner with her husband and was thankful for the time they shared together. She treated everyone she met as if they had been friends for years. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
