Joan Claire Cornelia Borgers

Joan Claire Cornelia Borgers (nee Hohner), 94, baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection at home March 15, 2024, surrounded by family. She was the third generation at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, a Parishioner at St. Catherine Laboure since 1966, and a member of the Ladies of Charity.

Preceded in death by her husband Robert R. Borgers, parents Victor L. and Lenora (nee Nestle) Hohner, and brother Victor E. Hohner (Marilyn, now of Tulsa, OK) and her beloved dog Charlie. Mother of Gary Borgers (Judi), Robert O. Borgers (Jody), Keith Borgers, Beverly Nahlik (John), Lisa Eckstein (late Michael), Jennifer Kulich (Keith), and Cheryl Finder (Ray). Grandmother of Jeffrey Borgers (Nichole), Daniel Borgers (Morgan), Jaime Lauth (Cody), Michelle Eckstein, Kyle Borgers (Rachel), Ashley Kulich, Michael Eckstein, the Late Kade Nahlik, John Nahlik, Abbigail Nahlik, Robert R. Borgers (Anna), Logan Nahlik, Gabrielle Borgers, Samantha Finder, RJ Finder, and Great Grandmother of 11. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Sister-in-Law, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital appreciated in lieu of flowers.

Joan's funeral Mass will be held Tuesday March 19, 2024, at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery following Mass.
