Jerome Duffey

Duffey, Jerome "Jerry" F. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Jacqueline "Jackie" (nee Kroupa); father of Eric, Carolyn, and Daniel Duffey and Maureen (Mark) Moore; grandfather of Matthew Moore; dear brother, uncle, cousin, godfather, and friend. Masses or memorial contributions to BJC Hospice (www.bjchospice.org) are appreciated. Jerry served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a 1959 St. Louis University graduate with a BS-EE who worked for McDonnell Douglas where he worked on the electronics for the Mercury Capsule NASA space program and then for the Department of the Army where he was responsible for designing and maintaining the electrical systems of the Huey and Blackhawk helicopters. He retired at Age 55. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows over 50 club, the Princeton Heights Neighborhood Association, and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Associations. Services: Thursday, 9:30 a.m., from JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES, 7027 Gravois Avenue (63116) to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. VISITATION: WEDNESDAY, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m October 12, 2016
