Jeanne Crews

Crews, Jeanne Brader passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015. Wife of the late James E. Crews. Beloved mother of Judy Griffin, Kathie (Ahmed) Khalifa and Janet Crews. Dear grandmother of Jennifer, Kelly, Donia, Jamie, Katie and Kylen. Our sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Jeanne was a proud educator for nearly 50 years, 42 of which were at the Mehlville School District and more recently at St. Charles Community College. She was the Missouri State Teacher of the Year in 1984 and was active in the National State Teachers of the Year (NSTOY). She was a professional storyteller, contributing to the St. Louis Gateway Storytellers. Jeanne belonged to the South County Kiwanis and was instrumental in promoting and implementing their educational programs. Jeanne's legacy is inspiring children and educators in the St. Louis area. SERVICES: Funeral service 11am Saturday (1/17) at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS South County, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road (63129). Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Louis Gateway Storytellers. January 16, 2015
