Jean Dorshorst

Jean L. (Booth) Dorshorst - 83 years young of Missoula, MT, (formerly of Hillsboro, MO), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. She leaves behind 4 loving children: Gregory Dorshorst (Debbie) of Springfield, MO, Stephen Dorshorst (Becky) of Naples, FL, Teresa Dorshorst-Dorlac of St. Louis, MO and Michael Dorshorst (Jamie) of Missoula, MT; 8 wonderful grandchildren: Danielle Dorlac-Barnett (Jamie) of Dupo, IL, Erin Dorshorst of Raleigh, NC, Dorian Dorshorst of Tulsa, OK, Paige Dean-Dorshorst of Tulsa, OK, Evan Dorshorst of Springfield, MO, Keana Dorshorst of Tulsa, OK, Eve Dorshorst of Missoula, MT and Greta Dorshorst of Missoula, MT; and 1 adoring great-granddaughter, Constance Barnett of Dupo, IL, who misses her NeNe. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Helen Mell of Bozeman, MT and Lavonne Milne of Denver, CO and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mamie Booth, and a sister, Dona Flink. Jean left her family with the knowledge of how much she loved them and how very proud she was of each. A very special thank you from Gregory, Stephen and Teresa to our little brother, Michael, for the extreme devotion and care you gave to our mother over these past several years! You are the "favorite child." A private memorial was held in Missoula. Jean generously donated her body to science in the hopes of helping her children and many others. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Brandon Cycholl and Jamie Grainger for their dedicated care to our mother. Services: A public memorial visitation and service to honor Jean will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS (South County) Funeral Home, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO (63129). Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:30 am Saturday. Following the memorial service, a luncheon will be served at Andre's Banquet Center in Oakville at the conclusion of the service. Donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation. March 29, 2014
