Schaefering Allen, Jean A. Entered into Christ\'s kingdom on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the age of 89. Beloved mother of Sue Hemingway, Rich (Joan) Allen, and Jim (Millie) Allen; grandmother of Juliet, Joshua, Zachary, Amy, Sarah, John, Caroline, Elizabeth, and William. Jean was a kindergarten teacher for St. Louis public schools for 25+ years. To honor Jean\'s love of dogs, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Open Door Animal Sanctuary. Services: Friday, 12:00 p.m., at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 7027 Gravois Avenue (63116). Interment at Concordia Cemetery. VISITATION: FRIDAY, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. August 19, 2016
