Jane Hackett peacefully entered into rest on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the age of 84. Surrounded by her family, Jane is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Dan Hackett (56 years of marriage). Devoted mother of Brian (Molly), Brad (Karen), Chris (Lisa), Michelle Craig (Stefan) and Jenny Dasher. The cherished grandmother of Casey, Jason, Ben, Drew, Anna, Gina, Katie, Allison, Ethan, Tori, Jack, Luke, Nina, Wil, Elizabeth, Ava and Anna C. Dear sibling of the late Gordon, the late Jacqueline, the late Barbara, Maryjo, Judy, Danny and Trish.
Jane graduated from Bishop DuBourg high school, had a long career working for the Defense Mapping Agency and made the most of her well-deserved retirement. Jane made quite an impact on many people as she remained a long-time volunteer of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul and many other organizations. She was also very passionate about her role as a Eucharistic Minister and her commitment to delivering communion to fellow parishioners.
Jane’s hobbies included playing bridge with friends, hosting parties, watching St. Louis City SC games, gardening and sipping cabernet while visiting with friends and family. She was an active member of the Mary, Mother of the Church where she attended mass daily. As the matriarch of the Hackett family, Jane cherished time with each family member.
A very special thank you to Dr. Rama Naidu, the caring team at Siteman Cancer Center and the ICU and hospice teams at Missouri Baptist Hospital where they provided Jane a comfortable transition to heaven.
