James "Jim" Harrison

James “Jim” Michael Harrison, 73, entered rest on August 11, 2022. Son of the late Roy and the late Geraldine, nee Strang, Harrison, beloved husband of the late Martha A. Harrison, nee Moore, devoted father of; Travis A. (Angela Vitale) Harrison, Shaun M. Harrison, and Dewayne L. Moore, cherished grandfather of; Katy Blum, Marcus R. Harrison, Dewayne M. Harrison, Shawn A. Moore, AngelLee K. Moore, Marisa Moore, Sophia M. Harrison, Sabrina L. Harrison, Stella A. Harrison, and Trey James Harrison. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and many dear friends.

Jim enlisted in the United States Army, just after graduating from high school. After serving in the Army for two enlistments, he was honorably discharged. Shortly after being honorably discharged, he met his late wife, Martha Ann Harrison. He started working for Lincoln Industrial as a machinist for forty plus years. In his adult years, he worked and raised his family.  In his younger years, he had a love for motorcycles and history. His all-time favorite motorcycles included Triumph’s and BSA’s. He had an extremely large collection of history books. After he retired from Lincoln, his son, Travis, got him hooked on video games which included PC and consoles. He loved to play war and adventure games. Jim has always been the loving, caring, smart, and responsible husband, father, and grandfather for our family.

Visitation will be held from 10am – 12pm Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63129. Funeral services will be held at funeral home starting at 12 pm. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
