Whorton, James V., on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, Beloved husband of the late Dolores J. "DeeDee" Whorton (nee Woodside), dear father of James A. (Amy) Whorton and Michelle Whorton. Dear grandfather of Amber, Nicholas, Cooper and Cassidy Whorton; great-grandfather to Eli Ellis; Dear brother of Kim Kimberling, Preceded in death by siblings Marie Livesay, Mary Johnson, Boyd Whorton and Hartsill Whorton; uncle, cousin, friend and neighbor. Jim served in the U.S. Army combat infantry in Korea, was a member and Past Master of Harmony Lodge #499 (Craftsmen #717), A.F .& A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, would be appreciated. SERVICES: Funeral, Friday, 10:00 AM from John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. Interment with Full Military Honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery VISITATION: Thursday, 1-9 pm with Masonic Service, 7:00 pm and American Legion Post #341 Guard of Honor, 7:30 pm.
