James Rochette

James Ottis Rochette Sr, 53, departed this life to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, May 12th 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. Jim was born on August 11th, 1961 to the late Phil and Jean Rochette and lived his life as a fun loving, kind hearted man with a heart spun from gold. He graduated in 1979 from Southwest High School. Jim married the love of his life, the late JoAnne Seitz, on October 13th, 1984 and four years later they were blessed with their son, James Ottis Rochette II (Jimmy.) In the early 1990s, Jim graduated ITT Tech with a degree in computer aided drafting. He had a great appreciation for variety and found it to be the true spice of life, which gave him the ability to indulge in many genres of entertainment, including sports, books, movies, and music, and could often be heard talking about his favorites with friends and family alike. An outdoorsman at heart, Jim spent many years in a softball team and enjoyed fishing, camping, and going out on the lake. In his free time, Jim was most comfortable sharing laughs and memories with those closest to him, especially with his son. He was a lover of animals, people, good food, great company, and smiling. He adored telling stories, dancing to anything with a beat, and encouraging his loved ones to live without worry. Jim was always up for a good card game and a glass of iced tea. He was loud, he was hilarious, and he was one of a kind. Jim is preceded in death by both of his parents, Phil and Jean Rochette (Lomax) and his loving wife JoAnne Rochette (Seitz.) He is survived by his son, Jimmy, siblings Denise, Greg, and Phillip,and his neices, Ophelia Amoret (prev. Amber) and Casey.
