Loewe, James N. Sr., fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at age 86. Loving husband of Mary Ann Loewe (nee Theisen) and the late Evelyn Loewe (nee Shanahan), survived by 5 children, including Jack Loewe of Branson, MO and Peggy Sannes of St. Louis and 5 grandchildren including Natalie K. Sannes born on his 66th birthday. Jim enlisted in the US Navy the day after his 17th birthday and proudly served on the Battleship Washington (BB56) in the South Pacific during WWII. He continued to meet with his shipmates during reunions through 2004. He loved his Catholic faith which never waivered during 7 years of failing health. He was a home body who loved his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, candle making and cooking the turkey and oyster dressing as JAMES THE BUTLER for every holiday. He will be remembered as a man of deep faith and integrity and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, godfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many, roles he cherished most in life. Ziegenhein & Sons, 7027 Gravois to St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 6303 Nottingham Ave. for 10AM Mass. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.
