Irene Forness

Forness, Irene Catherine (nee Petrzelka) Born November 22, 1927, entered into eternal life on June 4, 2018. Preceeded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Mark Redfearn; grandsons, Jason and Josh Forness; and parents, Leo and Catherine Petrzelka. Loving mother of Kathleen (Albert) Guazzo, Eileen (Mel) Vanek, Colleen (Dave) Kulifay, Dan (Lisa), and Kevin (Lisa); dearest grandmother and Memaw of seventeen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren; close friend of the late Lee Nahm and Ollie Parks. A beautiful person, wise and caring mother, and a special friend to all who knew her. She loved square dancing and teaching others about dinosaurs. She will be greatly missed. Irene was active in Swinging Singles, Merry Mixers, Ladies Mainstream, Epiphany Ladies Guild, Salvation Army, Golden Ages, and St. Louis Science Center Volunteers. Services: VISITATION: 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS, 7027 Gravois Avenue, Saint Louis, MO 63116. FUNERAL MASS: 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2018 at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, 6596 Smiley Avenue, Saint Louis, MO 63139. Interment St. Marcus Cemetery. June 10, 2018
