Henry Genovese

Genovese, Henry born October 2, 1921 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away September 6 in Ocala, Florida. Beloved husband for 72 years of the late Franca Genovese (nee Muzi) who preceded him in death on March 12, 2018. Loving father of Pete (Santina) and George (Deborah) Genovese; loving grandfather of Jason (Jaymie) Genovese, Gina (Sebastian) Talotta and Patrick Genovese; cherished great grandfather of Grant & Cora Genovese and Aniella Talotta. Henry was the last surviving child of the late Pietro & Louisa (nee DiMaggio) Genovese. He was the brother of Angelo "Lefty", Concetta "C" Maniaci, George, Mike, Frank, Pino, Domenica "Mickey" Bommarito, Pat and Peter "Smiley." Henry served in the US Army during World War II during which time he met and married Franca while stationed in Rome, Italy. Henry worked for many years as a warehouse manager in the music industry for Mercury Records, Commercial Music, J.L. Marsh, Pickwick International and Great Atlantic & Pacific Music. He and Franca resided in Ocala since 1990. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. SERVICE: Visitation at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS Funeral Homes - South County on Friday Sept. 14 from 8:30am until service at 10am. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
