Helen Lauman

April 9, 1921 — December 29, 2010

Lauman, Helen (nee Jovanovic) 89, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother church, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve with Milton, her husband of 65 years at her side. She leaves behind her three children, Susan (Rick) Constance, Richard (Rose) Lauman and Raymond (Julie) Lauman, and her two grandchildren, Nick Lauman and Emily Lauman. Born to parents Roko and Kleofina Jovanovic, Helen was the youngest of seven children and is survived by her sister Marie (Jovanovic) Juras and her sister-in-law Angie Jovanovic. Dear aunt, cousin and friend. Married in 1946, she resided with her husband in the same south St. Louis County home for nearly 60 years as a homemaker, crafter and seamstress. She was an active member of CFU (Croation Fraternity) Lodge 50, the Novi Vinoldo Club, the St. Martin of Tours Christian Mothers Association and Quilters Club. Helen died as she lived, surrounded by loving family. She donated her body to St. Louis University in the interest of advancing the study of medicine. Services: A memorial Mass will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Telegraph on December 29 at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations to the de Greeff Hospice House are appreciated. December 29, 2010
