BIRKENMEYER, HELEN M. (nee Winkler) born August 29, 1919 passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Ralph W. Birkenmeyer; dear mother of Laura (Jerome) DeCastro and Linda (Bob) Brandewiede; dear grandmother of Brian DeCastro, Noreen (Wayne) Peterein, Marie (Dan) Schofer and Julie (David) Tjornehoj; dear great grandmother of Eleanor Schofer; dear sister of the late John (Helen) Winkler; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and dear friend to many. Mrs. Birkenmeyer was a long time member of Redeemer Evangelical Church, held many offices in Women's Day Fellowship and was a member of the Quilters group. Resident of Laclede Groves. Memorials to Redeemer Evangelical Church or Every Child's Hope (Evangelical Children's Home) would be appreciated. Funeral Monday 10:00am at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS 7027 Gravois.
