Otto and Christine Bernthal; dear husband of Bernice Bernthal (nee Frederking); dear father of Allen (Peggy) Bernthal of River Forest, Illinois and Patricia Bernthal of McLean, Virginia, Pamela (Allen) Loesel of St. Charles, Missouri and Marcia (Terry) Marquardt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; dear grandfather of Kristen (Jason) Stuck, Peter (Jessica) Bernthal, Andrea (Matthew) Machemer, David (Jenny) Bernthal, Christopher Loesel, Stephanie Bernthal, Craig Marquart, Aaron Loesel, Mark Bernthal, Sara Marquardt and Brian Loesel; dear great-grandfather of Ashleigh and Blake Stuck; brother of Emily (the late Arthur) Widiger, James (Elsie) and John (Eunice) Bernthal and Marian (Wally) Schramm; brother-in-law of Eldor (Frieda), Dolores and Wilfred (Mary Ann) Frederking. Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many. Harry was a Veteran of WWII, a retired employee of Concordia Publishing House and a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
