Altvater, Harold T. "Tim," "Happy," asleep in Jesus on Saturday, December 24, 2016, age 84. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Altvater (nee Thornton). Beloved father of Diane (Ed Warren) Altvater and Dana (Frank) Brydels. Loving grandfather of Catie (Billy) Gray, Jacob and Evan Brydels. Dear brother of Paul (Chris) Altvater and the late Shirley (Robert) Ricklin and William (Carol surviving) Altvater. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. Harold retired after 40+ years as a member of Brick Layers Local #1 and then became an Ambassador at Grant's Farm for 20 years. He was an honorary member of the Marine Corps and loved working for the Toys For Tots Campaign. Special thanks to the kind staff at the Veterans Home for their loving care and friendship. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES (South County), 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. (63129). Visitation Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, 737 Barracksview Rd.
