Reisel, Hallock W. “Hal”
Entered into rest on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the age of 81.
Hal was preceded in death by his parents Hallock C. & Hilda (nee Doernhoefer) Reisel
Beloved brother of Carole Ann nee Reisel (Daniel) Schmidt; loving father of Matthew Jon (Michelle nee Reynolds) Reisel; and Bryan Ray Reisel; cherished Papa of Ethan Reisel, Jacob Reisel, Jaden Reisel, Makayla Reisel and Maximus Reisel; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hal was a graduate of Missouri Military Academy and served in the United States Army. He worked as Director of Transportation for the St. Louis City School District. He was a member of the local meat cutters union and retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Hal enjoyed traveling, fishing and was an avid Cardinal’s fan. Known as Papa to his grandchildren, Hal was always attending their extracurricular activities; he never missed a sporting event. Hal never met a stranger and always had a joke to brighten your day. He had many friends, new and old, and will be tremendously missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm @ John L. Ziegenhein & Sons County Chapel. Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 @ 10:00 am @ John L. Ziegenhein & Sons County Chapel. Interment following services at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
