It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gwendolyn Clair Tresch on January 21, 2025. Gwen was a beloved daughter of Harold and Evelyn (Schneider) Tresch, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many.
Gwen was a retired teacher and counselor from the Parkway School District. In her retirement, she dedicated her time as Acts Retreats leader and co-leader of the Sparkill Dominican Sisters Associates of St. Louis, continuing her lifelong commitment to education and service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nioma Davidson (Chuck), her nephews James and Michael Lane, step-nephew Kendall Link, and friend Janet Moore. Gwendolyn is survived by her sisters Mary Sue Mang (Don) and Sharon Link (Don), and her nieces and nephews Mark Lane, Tim Lane, Beth Johnson, Julie McInerney, Jennifer Sharamitaro (Bill Heisse), Tom McInerney (Kerri), Tony Sharamitaro (Abby), Joe Sharamitaro (Jamie), step-niece Julie Olson (Evan), and her cherished great-nieces and great-nephews Jennifer Mahn, Jami Johnson, Joshua Sharamitaro (Kristen Kapodistrias), Jace Lane, Nicholas Williams, Charlie Sharamitaro, Amelia Sharamitaro, Will Sharamitaro, Lucas Sharamitaro, Stella McInerney, Joseph Sharamitaro, Tommy McInerney, Vivian McInerney.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ziegenhein Funeral Home, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129. A viewing will take place before the Mass from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1919 S 7th Street, St. Louis, MO 63104. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM, with a procession to Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gwendolyn's memory may be made to the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill (175 Route 340, Sparkill, NY 10976)) or Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
