Saint Louis County

Glenda M. Eason, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, has passed away at the age of 64 on December 22, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri. Glenda was born on November 20, 1959, in the beautiful town of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri to her loving parents Helen M. Rottler and Glennon C. Rottler.

Glenda lived a remarkable life that was characterized by her dedication to her family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and made sure to nurture and cultivate those relationships throughout her lifetime. Glenda's passion for life was contagious and she exuded warmth and love to everyone she encountered.

Professionally, Glenda found immense fulfillment in working with great doctors, coworkers, and friends at Women's Care Consultants. Her commitment to providing exceptional care to patients was unwavering, as was her ability to foster a supportive environment among her colleagues. Glenda was highly regarded for her professionalism and compassion in the medical field.

Outside of work, Glenda immersed herself in hobbies that brought her joy and allowed her creative spirit to flourish. She had a knack for crafting and decorating for the holidays, particularly Christmas. The twinkling lights and festive ornaments that adorned her home during this time of year were a testament to her love for celebration and creating special moments for those around her. In addition, she enjoyed shopping and had an uncanny talent for finding incredible bargains.

Tragically, Glenda lost her battle with cancer after three years of incredible strength and resilience. Her courageous fight serves as an inspiration to us all and highlights the depth of her character. Throughout every trial she faced, Glenda maintained an unwavering spirit that served as a beacon of hope for those around her.

Glenda leaves behind a legacy that will be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her. She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, David E. Eason, who stood by her side throughout her illness with unwavering love and support. Glenda's children, Timothy E. Eason, the late Katherine E. Eason, and Kristina E. Eason, were the light of her life and brought immeasurable joy to her every day.

Glenda's memory will also be cherished by her mother, Helen M. Rottler, who provided love and guidance throughout her life. Her father Glennon C. Rottler sadly preceded her in death, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he left behind.

She is survived by her brothers Michael (Denise) Rottler and Thomas (Mary) Rottler, as well as her sister Kathy (Donald) and sister-in-law Beth (John) Tomasovic, sister-in-law Janet (Paul) Hauser, sister-in-law Joan (the late Rick) Garrison. Glenda held a special place in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored their Aunt Glenda.

A visitation in memory of Glenda M. Eason will be held on January 2, 2024 at John L. Ziegenhein and Funeral Homes - South County Chapel located at 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd in St Louis from 10:00 AM to 1200 PM. The funeral service will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 at the same location. Finally, Glenda will be laid to rest at St. Paul Churchyard Cemetery located at 7600 S Rock Hill Rd in St Louis during an interment ceremony from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

Glenda's profound impact on the lives she touched can never be fully expressed through words alone. Her vibrant spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in the memories of her infectious laughter and the love she selflessly shared with each and every person she encountered.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a cancer research organization in Glenda's memory. Let us remember Glenda M. Eason as a beacon of strength, love, and compassion, whose legacy will forever inspire us to live each day to the fullest. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Special thanks to Dr. Susan Luedke and her nursing staff for the care that they gave Glenda.
