VOGELSANG, GERALD A. “JERRY”:
“Jerry”, 80, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Vogelsang, loving father of Jennifer (Joe) Carter, Julia Vogelsang, Jay (Leslie) Vogelsang, stepson, Michael (Lisa) Palmer and step-daughter, Lisa (Mike) Lange, awesome “Papa Jerry” to Dan (Ana) Greiner, Jac Carter, Robert Anthony, Oliver Vogelsang, Emily Vogelsang, Jesse Blalack, Megan Stein, Macey Palmer, Mattison Palmer and Melissa Palmer, and a proud “Great Papa Jerry” of Addy Greiner, Lincoln Greiner, Gracee Greiner, Quinn Greiner, Kennedy Greiner and Layla Blalack. Jerry loved kids.
Jerry worked at Anheuser-Busch for 38 years, and retired as a Brewer (Local No. 6). After retirement, Jerry and Patty moved from Webster Groves to Lake Ozark MO, then to Delray Beach, FL, and four years ago, circled back to St. Louis. Jerry enjoyed living life and was a man of many talents and hobbies to include, shooting Pool (he was hard to beat!), Gin Rummy with his A-B Buddies, Tennis in Delray (which he took up at age 70), Fishing when he had the chance, working on his Soulard building, watching old car TV shows, and most importantly, helping whoever needed help. His wit and wise cracking humor was one-of-a-kind and he loved to keep people laughing (well, most of the time).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society of St. Louis or your favorite charity are appreciated.
