Gail "Diane" Ellis

Gail Diane Ellis, nee Evrard, on Thursday December 7, 2023, at the age of 72. Beloved wife for over 30 years of Michael Ellis; loving daughter of the late Gerald and Jacqueline Evrard and the late Shirley Vaughn, nee McMann; dear sister to Michelle (Jeff) Shoaf; dear mother “Mimi” to Sara (Jamie) Hooker and Kristen (Michael) McCloy; dear Mawmaw to Jack, Reese, and Faith Hooker, and Emalyn, Lucas, and Colton McCloy; beloved dog mom to Mickey and Whitney; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, niece, and friend to many. Diane is preceded in death by her Aunt Shirley Brewer. 

Diane had many hobbies and activities that she enjoyed throughout her life. Some of her favorites included playing cards and games with her friends and family as well as doing arts and crafts. Diane was also known to enjoy visiting the casino and playing penny slots. However, nothing could top her favorite hobby-- being the best grandmother! As a proud donor to Mid America Transplant, her helpful, loving spirit lives on! 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Mid America Transplant and American Cancer Society. 

Visitation will be held Friday December 15, 2023, at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129, starting at 4:00 p.m. until sharing of memories service at 7:00 p.m.
