Eugene Distler

Eugene J. "Gene" Distler, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at age 82.  Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Lou Distler (nee Schnell) for 57 years.  Beloved father of Mike (Cathy) Distler, Cindy (Greg) Dart and Tim (Amy) Distler.  Dear grandfather of Abby, Emma, Maddie and Grace Distler; Alexa, Halle and Peyton Dart; Joey, Jenna, Julia and Jordan Distler.  Dear great-grandfather of Savannah.  Dear brother of Robert (Joan) Distler.  Dear brother-in-law of Nancy Schnell.  Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project are appreciated.

Services:  Visitation Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES (South County), 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, 63129.  Prayers at the funeral home on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM, then to Assumption Catholic Church for Mass at 10:30AM. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
