Ernest O. Mallett Jr.

Ernest "Ernie" O. Mallett Jr. entered into rest on Wednesday September 24, 2024, at the age of 89. Beloved husband for over 30 years of Perla Mallett, nee Octavio; devoted step-father of Pergel, Jenefer (Tony), Dexter, and Rhea (Bart); cherished grandfather of Mira and Sam; and cherished Lolo of Kanade, Leon, Mathew, Anthony, and Ian; and dear friend to many.

Ernest was born shortly after the new year began in 1935 in St. Louis, MO to parents the late Ernest Sr. and Thelma, nee Malter, Mallett. Ernest would go on to attend Washington University where he found passion and a career in drafting. Outside of his work, Ernest loved to spend time outdoors, especially fishing, gardening, golfing, and simply taking walks in the park. But above all, Ernest is remembered for how he deeply loved and cared for his family. His legacy lives on through memories that his family and friends will continue to cherish for years to come. 

Ernest will be greatly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him

Ernest's memorial service will be held on Sunday October 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at John  L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116.
