Fiala, Emil E. age 82, fortified with the Sacrament of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, May 10, 2015. Beloved husband of Joyce Fiala (nee Eley); dear father of Greg (Susan) and Richard (Shirley Kirsch); dear grandfather of Benjamin, Jacob and Isaac; dear brother of Pat Cashman and the late Sr. Mary Christopher, C.P.P.S.; our dear cousin and friend. Emil was a retiree of the St. Louis City Police Department, where he was one of the original Evidence Technicians. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Maryville University where he was awarded outstanding Legal Justice Student. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. Services: Funeral, Friday 10:00 am at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS (South County) 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. (63129). Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. If desired memorial may be made to the American Heart Association.
