Elvet Lewis

Lewis, Elvet Clifton Longtime resident of Affton, MO died on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the age of 89. Dear husband for 41 years of Marlene (nee: Hahnfeld); loving father of Clifton Lewis (Joan Gudorp); dear grandfather of Carrie Lewis and Kyle Lewis (Megan Weakley); great grandfather of Devin Dace, Dylan Dace, Landon Lewis, and Hayden Lewis; and beloved step-father of Walter Busch (Sandra Walther), Daniel Busch, and David Busch (Xuan Dang Thi). He is survived by brother Paul Lewis and was proceed in death by brothers, James, John, Darryl, Charles, Thurman and Sherman. His mother Johnny Lewis (nee Black) and father William Lewis of Union City, TN, also preceded him in death. A friend of many. Mr. Lewis was a WWII veteran, worked as an army mail clerk, farmer, garage mechanic, and self-employed grocery delivery. He is member of the Lemay Church of Christ and a past member of the Gardenville Masonic Temple. He loved his cars, RVing, and passing time with friends. Services: Monday, 11:00 a.m., at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES, 7027 Gravois Avenue (63116). Interment at Lakewood Park Cemetery. VISITATION SUNDAY, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. June 12, 2016
