Elmer F. Kuehn Jr., 74, passed away on the 20th day of December 2022. Son of the late Elmer F. and Thelma, nee Reynolds, Kuehn Sr., loving husband of Velma Kuehn, nee Creamer, dear father of Beverly Kuehn and Chris (Katie) Kuehn, beloved grandfather of Melinda (Adam) Zobrist, Tara Kuehn, and Ben Kuehn, cherished brother of Dale (Debbie) Kuehn, Frances “Frannie” (Kenneth) Raglin, the late Tommy Kuehn, and the late Ben Kuehn, adored uncle of Valerie Raglin and the late Kyle Raglin, and dearest great uncle of Mayci. He is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.
Elmer was a Marine Corps veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School. Mr. Kuehn worked as a network engineer for AT&T and later retired from Charter Communications. He was a devoted husband and family man who enjoyed taking drives with his beloved wife, Velma, and spending time at Lake Timberland. Elmer was known for his strong convictions and quirky sense of humor. He enjoyed the simple things like spending time with his wife on his front porch drinking coffee and discussing politics.
Memorials are appreciated in leu of flowers to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) .
Visitation will be from 4-8pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons South City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO, 63116. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
