Ellie Riedy

Ellie Riedy stopped living on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 9:28pm at the age of 90 years old, during a glorious fireworks display, guiding her to her homecoming. Born of the late Ralph and Eva Dwelle nee Flanders; Ellie’s late spouse Julius Riedy preceded her in death; cherished mother of Kimberley Riedy and Karen (Ken) Scholle; beloved grandmother to Brionne (Stephen) Garrison; devoted great grandma to Stella Garrison, Peyton Burke-Ringkamp, Maverick Garrison and lastly, Ellie Garrison who was lovingly named after her great grandmother. 

Ellie put her family first and foremost. She taught her family that love is the only thing that matters in this life.

Ellie graduated from Riverside High School class of 52’. That very same year Ellie met, married and relocated to Saint Louis, Missouri with Julius Riedy her husband of 61 years. They were both from very large families; 22 siblings amongst them.

Ellie worked as a telephone operator for SW Bell and then moved to a chemical processing position with Monsanto and Boeing developing cockpits for F18 aircraft. She loved bowling and scored a perfect 300! She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and frequently went out to BINGO with her daughter Kim.

Celebration of Life will be an intimate service for immediate family only.
