Elaine Niehoff

Niehoff, Elaine B., passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2012. She was 91 years old. Mrs. Niehoff was the daughter of Mary and Charles Dittman and was born April 30, 1920 in Canaan, Missouri. Mrs. Niehoff married Wilbert C. Niehoff on July 27, 1940. Her husband preceded her in death in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Irene and Erma. Mrs. Niehoff was a long time resident of South County and will be remembered as a wonderful mother, homemaker, professional hair stylist and talented seamstress. She enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Wilbert C., Jr. (Sonny) and Jeaneane, Robert J. and Carolyn; and Thomas and Maria Niehoff; grandchildren, Jason Niehoff, Jacklyn Arnold, Tom Niehoff and Sarah Colgan; and three great-grandsons, Nathan, Zachary and Grady. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19, 2012, 4-8pm and funeral services at 1pm on Monday, February 20, 2012 at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis. Mo. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Sunday, February 19
