Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Al G. Book, Sr. for 68 years. Loving daughter of the late Helen and Edwin Walsh. Devoted mother of Al G. III (Sandy), Larry (Colette), and Gerre Book. Loving Grandmother of Alexis, Patrick (Jessica), Sean (Caitlin), Daniel (Hilarie), Greg (Lauren), Nicole Book, and Julie (Brian) Hilkerbaumer; Adoring Great Grandmother of Mitchell, Coleman, Aiden, Bryce, Henry, Eileen, Maisie, Riley and Elsie. Dear sister of the late Tom (Helen), Edwin (Margaret), Theresa Mary and Rev. Lawrence D. Walsh. Dear sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin, godmother, and friend to many. 

Longtime member of I.H.M. Ladies Sodality, past coordinator of I.H.M. Funeral Choir, past volunteer for 37 years at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, volunteer and past employee of Archdiocese of St. Louis Dept. of Special Education. Masses preferred or donations to I.H.M. St. Vincent DePaul Society or Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. 

Visitation Sunday January 7, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. Funeral the following morning, Monday January 8, 2024, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 4092 Blow Street 63116 for 11:00 a.m. Mass. Interment in National Cemetery.
