Tatosian, Edward V. entered into rest on Monday, January 23, 2017, at age 88. Beloved husband for 39 years of Beverly C Tatosian (nee Huntley). Dear father of Tammy Tatosian. Dear step-father of Laura (Eric) Brenner and the late Eddie Grezinger. Dear father-in-law of Cynthia Finnagan. Dear grandfather of Joshua Grezinger and Kellie Grezinger. Dear special uncle of Linda. Dear special friend of Richard Gruen. Our dear uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many. Ed worked for the Kroger Grocery Company and when they closed, he decided to open a bar with a friend so that the old employees could gather together. His reasoning was that after 19 years of the grocery business, all his former fellow workers would come. The bar was called K Roger 7 Mile House. At that time, Ed is quoted in the St. Louis Post Dispatch: "When I decided to try the tavern business, I guess Kroger was in the back of my mind," said Tatosian, a South Side resident and 17 year veteran of the grocery. "I knew so many people; I thought this might be a great way to get them together." After a few years, his interest changed to boats. He bought five small speed boats and successfully re-conditioned them to make a nice profit when they were sold. His love of being a river boat captain lasted quite a few years until the parking fee of $1000 a winter wasn't quite a bargain. His next love was tools. He built picnic tables and swing sets for friends and family. Ed always had his eyes open looking for the next bargain. He loved his family. Ed and his daughter, Tammy, loved to go bargain hunting together. Of course, there was always a question about who would do the driving. Tammy always won out in the later years. His keen sense of humor was boundless and nothing was out of bounds. Ed and his wife, Beverly, were blessed to share 39 years together-at the bar, boats, and tools. They were a great team as they worked together. We will all miss Ed's sense of humor and his uniqueness. Services: The family will have a private committal service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
