Dr. Bircher

Bircher, John Leroy "Jack", MD. Born November 4, 1926. His soul to Jesus, January 13, 2013. Devoted his life to the diagnosis and treatment of the sick. Devoted his heart to his family, their education, well being and happiness. Former Head of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at St. Anthony's Medical Center, Dr. Bircher was also on staff at City Hospital and Alexian Brothers. Jack is survived by his wife, Melanie, (nee Beckemeier), their three children, Melanie Herr, Steve (Karen) Bircher, Betsy (Dan) Kloeckener, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grand children, and first cousins, Marjorie Bircher Page and Helen Bircher Guillet. A great fan of Mark Twain, Jack possessed an active and dry sense of humor. I am certain he would be quite amused if we shared the following for him: "The reports of my death are NOT greatly exaggerated". "Good Night, Gracie". Private services are planned .
