88, welcomed into the arms of Jesus on October 7, 2020. Loving father of Mark (Lisa), Michelle (Mike) Curtin, Michael, Stephen, Cheryl (Chris) Westbrook, Scott, & Shawn Bryan. Grandfather of 17; great grandfather of 8; former husband of JoAnn Heatherly. Beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
Doug proudly served in the U.S. Army & was a Korean War veteran. He was a proud retiree & 52 year life member of I.A. of M. & A.W. Local 777. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and served as an usher for many years. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Doug may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Doug loved to fish, hunt, play cards and go to the casino. Doug made friends everywhere he went. He was loved by all.
Services: Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (3140 Meramec Street). Friends and family to gather October 19, 2020 at 10:15am at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons (7027 Gravois Ave.) for an 11am committal service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
