Dorothy was a wonderful, beautiful, strong woman, who always tried to look on the bright side of things. She spent her life taking care of her husband and family until forced by MS mobility issues to rely on them. She was a fantastic cook and baker and truly got joy from her family enjoying a meal she had prepared. Her Slovak pasties were some of the best to be had. She also worked outside the home at Haas Olive until her first child was born in 1953. She returned to part time work in 1967 at Stix, Baer & Fuller which became Dillard’s. In 1984 she increased her work from part to full time until her retirement in 1992.
She loved her family and friends without question and without boundaries. If she loved you that was forever She was always as strong as she and her family needed. She was loving, had a cutting wit and could be darn right funny and had some truly unique sayings that anyone of her children or grandchildren could quote verbatim.
She was a lifelong member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church. Her trust and faith in God was unwavering.
She was loved by many and will be missed forever and always.
