Corbin, Donald Dean Son of the late Grover Cleveland and Ruth Corbin passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at age 79. Don was the youngest of 13 siblings and is survived by his brother Rev. Jimmie (Elwanda) Corbin and sister, Wyvonne Croy. Dear husband of Bonnie Sue (nee Rowe) for 58 amazing years. Father of Kimberly (Robert) Bostic, Phillip (Jenifer) Corbin and Lynn (John) Price. Grandfather of Jacob, Abigail, Madeleine, Duncan, Sawyer, Grant, Evan and Sophie. Uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Born April 25, 1936 in Greenbrier, MO. He earned a Bachelor of Education from SEMO, Masters from the University of Missouri and Doctorate from St. Louis University. He spent his entire career in education, starting his teaching career in Zalma, MO at the age of 18. The family moved to St. Louis when he was a reading coordinator in the Lindbergh School District and retired as an elementary principal in the Fox C-6 School District in 1991. Dr. Corbin also served as an adjunct professor at Webster, Lindenwood, Northern Montana State, SIU and UMSL. He traveled throughout the states and South America leading workshops for teachers. He was also the co-owner of Jeffco Travel Service for 31 years. His greatest passions in life were his family, teaching, church and travel. He delighted in the accomplishments of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He was a member of the Concord Trinity United Methodist Church. The family requests memorials to CTUMC or Epworth Children's Home. Services: Visitation Thursday 3 - 9 pm at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS (South County), 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. (63129). Visitation Friday at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 South Lindbergh Blvd. (63126) from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 10:30 am Friday.
