Donald W. Bryant

March 21, 1957 — May 27, 2024

Donald W. Bryant, a dedicated welder who found joy and fulfillment in his craft, has sadly passed away at the age of 67. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 21, 1957, Donald's passion for welding was evident throughout his career, as he put his heart into every project he took on. He attended trade school for welding honing his skills and becoming a master at his trade.

Beyond his profession, Donald's deepest source of pride and joy was his family. He adored his son Don, cherishing every moment spent with him. A particular highlight for Donald was watching his grandson Brady engage in various sports activities such as baseball, hockey, and their shared favorite - drag racing.

In his leisure time, Donald found solace in the great outdoors through camping and fishing adventures. His love for cars transcended mere fascination; it was a genuine passion that manifested itself most vividly in his enthusiasm for drag racing.

He is preceded in death by his dedicated parents the late Jerry & the late Juanita Bryant, his brother the late Jerry Bryant, and his sister the late Janet Gatlin. Their memories are forever intertwined with Donald's story, adding depth and richness to the tapestry of his life.

Donald's legacy lives on through those who survive him; his loving sister and brother Linda Harris & Michael Bryant, as well as his beloved son Don (Chrissy) Bryant and cherished grandson Brady Bryant. In this time of loss, they find strength in the memories of a loving brother, father and grandfather who touched their lives in profound ways.

He was a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom, and the warmth in family gatherings. His laughter filled homes, and his stories enriched conversations. As an uncle, he guided with kindness; as a great uncle, he delighted in achievements; as a cousin, he was a companion through life’s journey; and as a friend, he was unwavering in his loyalty.

Services to honor and remember Donald will be held at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons South County Chapel on May 31, 2024. A visitation will take place from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM followed by a Memorial Service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

Donald W. Bryant will be remembered not only for his skillful hands as a welder but also for the love he shared with his family and the passion he brought to everything he did. May his spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
