Diane M. Hesser, born on March 8, 1949, in Saint Louis, passed away on April 3, 2024. She was known for her kind and gentle nature, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Diane cherished nothing more than spending time with her beloved family, creating treasured memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts. Her warm personality and caring spirit touched the lives of many, bringing light and joy wherever she went.
Throughout her life, Diane found solace and joy in various hobbies and interests. She had a deep love for traveling, exploring new places near and far. Her affection for animals, especially dogs, was evident to all who knew her. Diane found delight in musical theater, frequented the Saint Louis Zoo, enjoyed bowling with friends and family, and shared her beautiful voice in the choir. Sparkly things always caught her eye and brought a twinkle of happiness to her soul.
She is survived by her beloved family and will be deeply missed by her sister Karen (Scott) Nienkamp, brother Thomas (Karen) Wellen, nephews Michael (Pam Lemon) Maroney, Christopher Gubser, Richard (Rally) Ledesma, and Shawn Penning and niece Joanna Gubser.
Diane has now joined her loving husband, the late Michael Hesser, her father, the late Raymond Wellen, and mother, the late Marie Wellen nee Sipla in eternal peace. The memory of Diane's vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Services to honor and celebrate Diane's life will be held at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel in St. Louis for visitation on April 10 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on April 11 at 10:00 AM followed by interment Resurrection Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
