Delores Evans

Delores "Dee" Evans, 79, of Arnold passed away at Woodland Manor on February 10, 2019. She was born on April 14, 1939 in Edelstein, Illinois to Frank & Estella (nee Hoffman) Vicary. She married Robert "Bob" Evans on July 11, 1959 in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and her brother. Surviving are two sisters: Wanda (Johnny) Paterson of Washoe Valley, NV and Carol (Mike) McMurtry of Brimfield, IL.; ten nieces and seventeen nephews. Dee was a 1939 graduate of Dunlap High School in Dunlap, IL and enjoyed traveling with other '39s. Dee was a Transfer Administrator at Boatmens Bank in St. Louis for 30 years and a member of Church of Christ in Arnold. She enjoyed painting ceramics and collecting Thomas Kinkade, watching all kinds of sports but especially the Cardinals, chocolate shakes and her beloved cat Pogo. A visitation will be held Thursday at 1:00pm with a service to follow at 3:00pm. Private interment of cremated remains later at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis. February 14, 2019
