David T. Lodes

Lodes, David Thomas passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 08, 2025 at the age of 80 surrounded by his family. Beloved partner of 15 years to Jean Tornetto. Father of Louie (Aileen) Lodes, the late Dana Gerhard, Brenna (Sean) Maserang, and William (Sarah) Lodes. Great uncle to Brian and Kaiti Lodes. Brother of the late John (Carol) Lodes, the late Tim (MaryAnn) Lodes, George (Pat) Lodes, the late Joan Carragher, the late Danny (Bobbi) Lodes, the late MaryAnne (Kelly) Stewart, Mark (Mary) Lodes, Peggy Lodes (Joanie), and Kevin (Anne) Lodes. Beloved grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and cousin to many. Dave was preceeded in death by his loving parents, Art and Mary Lodes. 

Dave was a fighter by nature and won the Golden Gloves in 1968. He served in the Army and boxed in Germany. Dave was a proud member of Local 3 Elevator Constructors. He loved golf and enjoyed his camaraderie with the Sunshine Boys. He was blessed to have friendships that spanned a lifetime from his years at St. Roch’s. Dave adored his brotherhood with Group 22 and helped too many people to list on their journey to sobriety. His infectious laugh, quick wit and sense of humor allowed him to coin creative nicknames for those he met within minutes. He loved his family and friends fiercely which endeared him to us all.

In honor of Dave’s Irish heritage that he loved so dearly, please feel free to wear green to his memorial service on February 22, 2025 at 10am at St. Roch’s Church; 6052 Waterman Blvd., 63112. He was passionate about his work with Guns ’N Hoses (benefits BackStoppers) for over 30 years.
