Daniel "DJ" John Callahan Jr.

Daniel "DJ" John Callahan Jr. entered into rest on Saturday January 4, 2025, at the age of 46. Loving father of Ireland and Reese Callahan; devoted son of Vickie (Tate) Callahan and the late Daniel John Callahan Sr.; dear brother of Scott Callahan and Carrie Decker; beloved uncle of Mick, Reese, and Avery Callahan.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father Daniel John Callahan Sr., grandparents Gleason and Laura, nee Beyer, Tate, and George and Marie, nee Klekamp, Callahan. A dear uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many.

Daniel was a skilled hunter and fisherman who appreciated the serenity of nature. He enjoyed woodworking and appreciated old movies. Daniel will be remembered for his independent nature, love for animals, and his devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Shriner's Children's Hospital - St. Louis or Humane Society of Missouri in DJ's honor.

A visitation to commemorate DJ's life will be held on Tuesday January 14, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. His funeral will take place the following morning, January 15, at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery following his funeral.
