Connie Richard Meyer

Connie Richard Meyer passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family who loved him dearly on the 22^nd of April 2023, at the age of 88. Son of George Burnett and Lena Meyer.  Dear husband of Mary  L. Meyer (nee Baggett); father to Rich Meyer (Rebecca) and Carol R. Branstetter (nee Meyer)(Robert); grandfather to Amy Meyer M.D., Joseph Branstetter, Charles Meyer, and William Branstetter; brother to the late Gretchen Knapp, the late George Meyer, the late Dove Beitz and survived by Ted Meyer Sr. (Mary Sue) and Linda Timar; uncle and friend to many.

Connie was a U.S. Army veteran. He was born in Mabelvale, AR in 1935 and graduated from Mabelvale High School. He continued his education at the University of Arkansas with a B.S. degree in geology. Connie then went on to work at Defense Mapping Agency in 1965 until retiring in 1997. Post retirement, Connie became a tree farmer in Lesterville, MO. He was a lifelong Methodist and a member of Concord Trinity United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Concord Trinity United Methodist Church or the Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63129 with a visitation starting one hour before the service. Interment will take place in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125 following the memorial service.
