Cliff Hensley

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend

1953 – 2025

Cliff Hensley, a man of grit, grace, and a wide-open throttle, passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy built on family, friendship, and the pure joy of life lived in the fast lane.

Cliff was more than just a great father—he was a steady hand, a loyal friend, and a spirited soul who brought warmth, humor, and authenticity into every room he entered. Whether he was turning wrenches, telling stories, or cruising down the track in his vintage race car, Cliff lived life with purpose and heart.

A proud member of the Gateway Vintage Racing Association, Cliff didn’t just race—he connected, lifting others up with his passion, laughter, and determination. He raced hard, lived fully, and left his mark on both the track and the people around him. To the racing community, he was a brother in speed; to his family, he was the heart of every gathering.

Cliff’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Paula Hensley; his loving son Kyle Hensley and daughter-in-law Jessa Hensley; and his cherished grandchildren, Toby and Naomi Hensley, who brought light to his later years. He is also survived by his brothers Dan Hensley and Dave Hensley, and his beloved mother, Rose Hensley.

He found joy in the simple things—family vacations, a well-tuned engine, a warm dog curled at his feet, and laughter shared around a kitchen table. Cliff loved his dogs like they were family and treated every friend like kin.

Though he may have taken his final checkered flag here on earth, Cliff’s spirit roars on in every engine rev, every story told, and every heart he’s touched. His was a life well-lived—bold, kind, and unforgettable.

In honor of Cliff, take a moment to laugh, take a drive, hug your loved ones tight, and always live life full throttle.
