Carol Oleson

Carol Oleson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Dolores Isringhaus and her brother Geoffrey Isringhaus. Carol is survived by her devoted husband, Randy Oleson, her loving children, Sara (Craig) Carnesi and Todd Oleson, and her cherished grandchildren, Kathryn Carnesi and Andrew Carnesi. She also leaves behind many more family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Carol was a passionate sports fan, especially of the Saint Louis Cardinals. She loved traveling to different stadiums across America, exploring new cities, and cheering on her favorite team. The Tiger football and basketball teams from her alma mater The University of Missouri also held a special place in her heart. 

In her youth, Carol played in the high school marching band and orchestra, and she enjoyed making appearances on the Muny stage. She had a fondness for word puzzles and cherished her regular gatherings with various groups of friends. Her love for travel took her to beautiful beaches and many other destinations worldwide.

Carol spent most of her professional career working with children — first as an elementary school teacher, and later as a Museum Teacher at The Magic House. 

Above all, Carol loved her family and treasured the time spent with her grandchildren. She was a very involved mom and grandma. Carol's warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
